Simpleban for one

A personal kanban board that stays out of your way.

You don’t need a project-management tool. You need the thing on your mind written down, a place to see what’s next, and the small satisfaction of dragging it to Done. Simpleban on your own is exactly that: columns, cards, notes, a checklist when you want one, a due date when it matters — and nothing that asks you to invite, upgrade or set up anything.

Simpleban, a kanban board for two people: a shared “Our home” board with This week, Doing, Waiting and Done columns, cards marked Mine or assigned to a partner, due dates, repeating chores and a moving-day countdown.

Why to-do apps don't stick

Lists grow, boards show motion

A 60-item list looks the same on a good week and a bad one. Three columns show what's waiting, what's in motion and what you finished — the picture is the progress.

Team tools are too much for one

Trello wants a workspace, Notion wants a system, Asana wants a team. Simpleban opens in under a second with a board already there.

Capture has to be instant

If adding a thought takes four taps, it stays in your head. Type it like you'd say it — “Dentist Friday” — and the date is set.

How people use it alone

One board for life admin — Someday · This week · Doing · Done — and a board per project when something bigger lands: the job search, the renovation, the trip. Repeating chores come back on their own; the Monday email shows what’s open so the week starts with a plan; My day shows what’s overdue and due today across every board. Install it on your phone and it works offline.

Questions, answered

Is Simpleban good for just one person?
Yes. On your own it's a fast personal kanban board with everything on it — notes, checklists, due dates, repeating cards, a Monday plan and a phone app. There are no prompts to add anyone and nothing is held back for solo use.
Is it really free for one person?
Free forever: unlimited boards and cards with every feature, no trial, no credit card. If you one day share a board with one other person, they join free too.
How is it different from a to-do list app?
A list shows items; a board shows state. Cards move from To do to Doing to Done, so you see motion and what's stuck at a glance. Simpleban keeps the rest minimal on purpose.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Add it to your Home Screen from Safari or Chrome and it opens like an app, works offline and syncs when you're back. A native iPhone app is in testing.
Can I import from Trello or Todoist?
Not yet. Most people start from a template (personal kanban, weekly planner, job search) and type the handful of things that actually matter this week.

Get it out of your head

Pick a template or start blank — your board is ready in ten seconds.

Your board starts as “Personal kanban” — columns and example cards you can change or delete.
