- More than two people. Adding more people or sharing boards beyond your +1 will be a subscription tier, coming soon.
- A flat rate, never per seat. Those tiers will be one flat price, however many people join.
- Only new things beyond that — for example large file storage or AI. Nothing that exists today.
- Your +1 never pays. The person you invite is always free.
- No ads, ever. We don’t sell your data or train anything on your cards.

- Is Simpleban really free?
- Yes — free forever for two people, with every feature and no credit card. You get unlimited boards and cards, and you can share all of your boards with one teammate. That's the whole Free plan.
- What does “free for 2 users” mean?
- It means you, plus one other person you invite. The person you add can see and work on all of your shared boards, and they never pay. For two people, everything is free forever. If you need more people or want to share boards beyond your +1, we'll soon introduce subscription tiers — a flat rate, never per seat.
- Can I use Simpleban on my own?
- Yes, and plenty of people do. On your own it is a fast personal kanban board: columns, cards with notes and checklists, due dates, repeating chores, a Monday plan, installable on your phone — free forever, with no prompts to add anyone. If one day you want to share a board, you invite one person and the same board becomes a two-person board.
- Does Simpleban work offline?
- Yes. Simpleban is a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can install it to your home screen or dock, and it keeps working and showing your boards even without a connection.
- How is Simpleban different from Trello or Jira?
- Simpleban is built for exactly two people and deliberately does less. You get columns and cards with notes, checklists, comments, optional due dates, repeating cards and simple two-person assignment (a card belongs to you, your partner, or either of you) — plus handoff emails, a morning nudge and a Sunday summary.
