Terms of service
Last updated: July 17, 2026
These terms cover your use of Simpleban. They’re written to be readable rather than intimidating. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
The service
Simpleban is a kanban board designed for two people, built and operated by a solo developer. It lets you create boards, columns, cards, notes, and comments, and share a board with one teammate. We may add, change, or remove features over time as the product evolves.
Your account
You sign up with an email address and, optionally, a name. You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know if you notice anything suspicious. You must be at least 13 to create an account.
Acceptable use
Use Simpleban for lawful purposes. Please don’t use it to break the law, infringe others’ rights, store or distribute malware, attempt to breach or overload the service, or abuse other people. We may suspend accounts that do.
Your content
You own everything you create in Simpleban — your boards, cards, notes, and comments are yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, display, and sync that content so the app works for you and the teammate you share with. We don’t claim ownership and we don’t use your content to train anything or sell it.
Free plan & future paid plans
The free plan is genuinely free for two people, with the full product and no credit card. If paid plans arrive later for bigger teams, they will be flat-price — never per-seat — and nothing you rely on today will be pulled out from under you.
Availability
Simpleban is provided “as is” and “as available.” It’s run by one person, so while we aim for reliability and take reasonable care with your data, we can’t promise zero downtime or that it will always be error-free. Please keep your own copies of anything critical.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Simpleban and its operator aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of the service. The service is offered without warranties beyond those that can’t legally be excluded.
Termination
You can stop using Simpleban and delete your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or that put the service or other people at risk.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we’ll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
